Tangible Texas History

We have a new website and a wonderful collection of Texas Memorabilia at http://texascommem.com/

Silver coins minted for several years only in the mid 1930's by the US Mint.  These 50 cent coins are scarce and very collectible, they commemorate the founding of the Republic of Texas in 1836.

Come see the images and read the history of the only US State that was once its own country!

In addition to the coins we have Authentic Republic of Texas Bank Notes, sometimes known as redbacks because the ink created a reddish image on the back.

This color is where the University of Texas got its school colors.
We also have some rare bank notes signed by Sam Houston himself as well as Mirabeau Lamar.
There are also Republic of Texas stock certificates.
If you pick up a Texas Monthly Magazine, the June issue, you will find a full page spread on page 92, but much more awaits at our website http://texascommem.com/
Visit us soon and contact us if you wish to have a piece of Texas History you can actually hold in your hands.
